Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you (or the organization you represent) and Mountain Street Management LLC (“we”, “us”), which operates PolicyWatch. By creating an account or using PolicyWatch, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use PolicyWatch on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it.

PolicyWatch monitors the publicly available Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of software vendors you choose, detects changes, uses automated AI analysis to summarize those changes and estimate risk, and sends alerts. We may improve, change or discontinue features over time. Some vendor websites block automated access, so we cannot guarantee that every policy can be retrieved or that every change will be detected.

PolicyWatch is an informational tool, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice. Risk scores, summaries and reports are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Always read the vendor’s actual policy and consult a qualified attorney before making legal or compliance decisions.

• You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and your organization’s workspace, including members you invite.
• You must be at least 16 years old and use PolicyWatch for business purposes.

• New workspaces start with a free trial. No payment is taken during the trial. When it ends, you need a paid plan to keep monitoring vendors.
• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time from the billing page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial months.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. New prices apply from your next billing period.
• If a payment fails, we may limit or suspend paid features until it is resolved.

You agree not to:

• use PolicyWatch for anything illegal or to infringe anyone’s rights;
• try to access other customers’ data, or probe, disrupt or overload the service;
• reverse engineer the service, or resell it without our written permission;
• use the service or its API to scrape websites you are not entitled to monitor, or share API keys outside your organization.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

You own the information you put into PolicyWatch, such as your vendor lists and notes. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Vendor policy text belongs to the respective vendors and is retrieved from their public websites. You can export reports at any time and ask us to delete your data.

PolicyWatch, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us. These Terms give you a limited, non-transferable right to use it during your subscription or trial.

PolicyWatch relies on third-party services such as Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in), Slack (alerts, if you connect it) and AI model providers. Your use of those services is also subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or for the content of vendor websites.

PolicyWatch is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that alerts will be delivered on time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of PolicyWatch, including decisions made based on its analysis. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

You may stop using PolicyWatch and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or fail to pay. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers and limitation of liability) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maine, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and notify account owners by email. Continuing to use PolicyWatch after changes take effect means you accept them.
